On June 4 and June 5, 2005 the Portuguese Foundation, Inc. participated in the Day of Portugal Festival held at the Portuguese Club of Hartford in Newington, Connecticut. On June 5th, Portuguese Foundation Directors walked behind its banner in the Day of Portugal Parade in the Parkville Section of Hartford.

Elias Sisters On July 13, 2005 and July 14, 2005 the Elias Sisters performed two carillon concerts, at Trinity College in Hartford, and First Church of Christ Congregational, in West Hartford, respectively. The duo, Ana Elias and Sara Elias, are on a U.S. tour and, largely through the efforts of PFI Director, Dr. Antonio Cirurgiao, they made a stop in the Hartford area. On July 14th, the Foundation hosted the Elias Sisters in a dinner in their honor at O'Porto Restaurant. The Foundation wishes the Elias Sisters the best of luck and continued success in their tour and studies. The carillon concert program contains a brief biography of the duo
